Religious Projects
FH Martin’s project portfolio includes significant work for a number of religious institutions. Being trusted to build and renovate places of worship is a distinct honor that carries with it tremendous responsibility. Our project teams know how to give building committees the personal attention they deserve, and are skilled at making the most of the hard-earned dollars that are raised for these unique construction projects. In addition, from the start of a project until the end, FH Martin works with our clients to build excitement and awareness of the project throughout the worship communities with whom we are working.

"Adding on to a 70-plus year-old architectural masterpiece in a manner that complements the original art deco style is a daunting task in and of itself. The professional expertise of FH Martin Constructors, their attention to detail and their responsiveness to concerns and questions has made them a valued and trusted partner in the entire project. Everyone from FH Martin has been wonderful to work with. I have every intention of using them again when we are ready to begin the next phase of our Master Plan."

In the summer of 2006, FH Martin was selected to build an addition onto this landmark Catholic church, located on Woodward Avenue. The 10,000 SF addition will connect all existing church buildings, utilizing materials to match the church's ornate finishes. The new space will be used for fellowship events and gatherings.

"What a joy and blessing it is to be associated with FH Martin and everyone involved in the company and construction! For anyone who would think that construction is fraught with extreme difficulties, please put that notion to rest when you work with FH Martin. I most highly recommend FH Martin for all construction needs."

Church of the Holy Spirit
Church of the Holy Spirit is a Catholic church founded in 1977 as the Highland Mass Station. Since its founding, the church has grown from 525 members to more than 1,800 member families. In 2004, Church of the Holy Spirit selected FH Martin to complete Phase I of a multi-phase expansion project to accommodate its substantial growth.

The project included the addition of a 500 SF chapel and 10,000 SF administrative wing to the existing church. The chapel has 25 seats and provides worshipers with a 24-hour perpetual adoration space. The administrative wing features a large gathering area, three offices, meeting rooms, a social services room for food distribution to the disadvantaged, a hospitality suite and storage. Project challenges handled by FH Martin included relocation of existing electrical utilities and septic field as needed to construct the building addition and the intricate structural steel framing of the chapel space.

Immaculate Conception Catholic Church School
Anchorville, Michigan
In 2004, FH Martin was selected to build a 6,000 SF parish hall onto the existing church, and a 1,000 SF gymnasium onto the existing school at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Anchorville, Michigan. FH Martin provided significant value engineering services in order to meet the owner's tight budget constraints. As always, safety was a primary concern as FH Martin and our subcontractors worked with students and parishioners in close proximity.
