Amazing Grace Lutheran Church

"On time, within budget, and done with quality! What more could we ask for? These words are not heard all that often today. But in our case it happened. We could not be more pleased with the experience of working with FH Martin Constructors. I know I speak on behalf of all of our people who have been involved with the project when I say it was the right decision to select FH Martin as our design builder. We would not hesitate to recommend FH Martin to anyone who is looking for a professional organization to build and manage their construction project."

Daniel Brunet, President

Sacred Heart Catholic Church
Auburn Hills, Michigan
In 2001, FH Martin was selected to complete a building addition and renovations to the sanctuary at Sacred Hearth Catholic Church in Auburn Hills, Michigan. Some unique features of the project include:

- The masonry and wood flooring additions were carefully and successfully blended into the existing structure.
- The entire structure is heavy wood, timber construction. The sanctuary is graced with 4,500 SF of hardwood flooring, which intricately wraps around the pews. Under the pews is a stained concrete floor that is more durable to wear.
- The baptismal font is a monolithic concrete structure with an infant immersion pool, from which water beautifully flows into a standing adult pool. A semicircular, 50-foot accordion door encircles the entire font for closure and privacy.
- A state-of-the-art visual, sound and lighting system with large screen projection was added to the sanctuary.
- The black granite inlayed altar is set upon a semicircular masonry platform that is surrounded by intricate oak treads.
- The new porte-cochere allows for weather-protected shelter at the church entrance. In addition, a stamped/stone-finished concrete patio was added, which includes an attractive, decorative water fountain.
